In the Senegalese economic landscape, few are the figures who so powerfully embody the encounter between international trade, local leadership and strategic vision. Amadou Diallo, Mayor of Mampatim, is today a key player in Senegalese economic diplomacy. His journey, marked by an immersion in China and a constant commitment to international trade, makes him a natural profile for the Senegalese Export Promotion Agency (ASEPEX).
International training for Senegal
Born in Mampatim in the south of Senegal, Amadou Diallo took the international road very early. After graduating in fishing and aquaculture at UCAD, he moved to China where he successively obtained an engineering degree in aquaculture and an MBA in business management at Ningbo University.
This dual technical and managerial competence gives it a rare versatility. His student engagement is reflected in the presidency of the Senegalese Students' Association in China (2010-2012), an experience that enables him to develop representational and federational skills, announcing his future leadership role.
An entrepreneur turned in international trade
From 2007 to 2019, Amadou Diallo moved to China for a long time, where he established and managed his own international business. This immersion gives him a fine knowledge of Asian markets and global logistics circuits. From China it assists and organizes purchases and delivery for these different African and European customers who import various products.
Since 2016, he has been an exporter of peanuts from Senegal to China, contributing to the development of a strategic sector for the national economy. This experience illustrates its ability to transform local resources into global opportunities.
Local leadership inspired by international experience
Amadou Diallo, elected mayor of Mampatim in January 2022, embodies a new generation of local leaders capable of linking territorial issues to international dynamics. Its municipal mandate is accompanied by a desire to enhance its knowledge of the world and adapt it to local realities for endogenous development.
- An ASEPEX profile par excellence
- Exporting Expertise: A pioneer in export from and to China.
- International Vision : trained and immersed in Asian markets
- Territorial Leadership: elected local authority committed to resource development.
- Strategic communication : promote African economic visibility.
Amadou Diallo is more than an entrepreneur: it is a bridge between Senegal and the world, between local producers and international markets, between territorial policy and economic diplomacy. His profile illustrates the new orientation of Senegal: an open economy, driven by leaders able to combine international experience, local engagement and strategic communication.
A portrait that confirms that the future of Senegalese exports is based on hybrid figures, both men of the field and citizens of the world.
