African youth at the heart of preventive diplomacy and dialogue for peace

As part of a mission focusing on preventive diplomacy, a delegation of young African leaders visited the Republic of Madagascar to promote peace, dialogue and citizen engagement. This initiative, led by the Embassy of the African Youth for Peace (AYAP), illustrates the will of the continent's youth to actively involve themselves in building a sustainable and supportive future.

The mission to the Republic of Madagascar is part of a continental dynamic aimed at strengthening the participation of young people in peace and governance processes.

As Ambassador of the African Youth for Peace (AYAP), Hinda Mocka, a Nigerian citizen, represented African youth with commitment and conviction.

Together with the African Union team and members of the WiseYouth network, she helped to raise the voices of young people for a united Africa around the values of peace and dialogue.

Meeting with the President of Madagascar

The delegation had the privilege of meeting with His Excellency the President of the Republic of Madagascar, a moment marked by constructive exchanges around peace, the participation of young people and their role in building the country's future.

The President welcomed the commitment of African youth and shared an inspiring vision for a future based on cooperation, solidarity and shared responsibility.

A message of hope and determination

Ambassador Hinda Mocka expressed her sincere gratitude to His Excellency the President for his warm welcome, openness and inspiring vision for Malagasy youth.

His words reinforced the delegation's determination to continue its engagement with young people and local communities.

This mission recalls that preventive diplomacy is built not only at the top of states, but also through proximity dialogue, regional cooperation and the active involvement of young people.

The Malagasy experience shows that African youth, when fully engaged, becomes an actor of transformation and a vector of stability across the continent.

Together, for peace, dialogue and an African youth fully engaged as an actor for change and sustainable development.
