On the occasion of the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games, Nachson Mimran, head of international relations of the Senegalese Olympic Committee, launched the CSS House, a cultural and friendly platform designed to highlight Senegalese talents and welcome the international community.
Senegal is about to enter history by becoming the first African country to host the Youth Olympic Games from 31 October to 13 November 2026. To accompany this new event, Nachson Mimran, grandson of Jacques Mimran and co-founder of to.org, imagined the CSS House.
Located in the Almadies district of Dakar, this property of 6,000 m2 is a meeting place, creation and celebration of Senegalese heritage.
« The 2026 Youth Olympic Games are a historic milestone for Senegal, placing our nation at the centre of global attention »Nachson Mimran points out. The CSS House, labeled Esprit de Dakar 2026 by the Organising Committee, embodies this national ambition by offering a framework of hospitality and cultural outreach.
A cultural and sporting crossroads
Throughout the Games, the CSS House will host delegations, artists, athletes and international decision-makers. Panels on environment and youth, concerts and artistic performances will be held during the days and evenings.
The Senegalese National Kickboxing Team will also install its neighbourhoods, offering demonstrations open to the public, thus marking the presence of this sport as a demonstration discipline.

Institutional and international partnerships demonstrate the scale of the project: The Swiss Embassy, UNHCR, UrbanBetter & Dakar Cityzens Hub and the Surfrider Foundation Senegal are among the major supporters.
Promoting Senegal on the world stage
Beyond its role in the Senegalese Olympic Committee, Nachson Mimran has worked for years to position Dakar as an international hub for sport, culture and business. By 2021, he had already attracted global attention by organizing the Ocean X-E Extreme E Award at Rose Lake.
Through the CSS House, he pursues this mission by bringing together influential personalities, creative talents and institutional actors in order to strengthen the influence of Senegal.
The CSS House, inspired by the Wolof philosophy of wisdom and harmony, imposes itself as a symbol of the union between sport, culture and diplomacy. Beyond the Youth Olympic Games, it will continue to host events, offering Dakar a living and sustainable space for creativity and international dialogue.
